His lineage traces back to two of the great luminaries of Islamic spirituality: Shaykh Abdul Qadir al-Jilani through his paternal line and Mawlana Jalaluddin Rumi through his maternal lineage. After years of study under leading scholars and saints of Sham, he became the foremost khalifah of Sultan al-Awliya Mawlana Shaykh Abdullah al-Daghestani. Through extraordinary spiritual presence, simplicity, compassion, humor, and profound wisdom, Mawlana Shaykh Nazim carried the Naqshbandi tradition from East to West, inspiring millions across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and the Americas.
